  •      H1N1 Flu Update:

The Texas Health Insurance Pool will provide first dollar coverage for the cost of administration of the H1N1 vaccine.  Deductible and coinsurance will not apply to the administration charge; stated policy benefits will apply to any other charges that accompany the administration claim.  The Pool will pay 100% of the administration charge if you obtain the vaccine form a BlueChoice provider; if you obtain the vaccine from a non-contracting provider, you will be responsible for any portion of the charge that exceeds the allowable amount.  The cost of the H1N1 vaccine itself is being provided at no cost by the U.S. government.

Please call Pool Customer Service at 1-888-398-3927 with any questions about the Pool's H1N1 vaccine benefit.

Click on the indicated website shortcuts below to keep up with the latest national and local N1N1 updates at the
Centers for Disease Control and the Texas Department of Health.
